−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−  12+3=15 dashes  select 3 dashes and change them to  bar it will create four partions  with total number of dashes=12  ^(15) C_3

x_1 +x_2 +x_3 +x_4 =12   _()   0≤ x_i  ≤12   ,  x_i  ∈ Z  ⇒  coeff. of x^(12)  in  (1+x+x^2 +..x^(12) )^4   = coeff. of x^(12)  in (1−x)^(−4) (1−x^(13) )^4            = coeff. of x^(12)  in (1−x)^(−4)          = ^(12+4−1) C_(4−1)  = ^(15) C_3  .
