$${(\mathrm{a}-\mathrm{b})}^2={(\mathrm{a}+\mathrm{b})}^2-4\mathrm{ab}$$$${(\mathrm{a}-\mathrm{b})}^2=81-80$$$$\Rightarrow (\mathrm{a}-\mathrm{b})=\pm 1$$
