$$8x^3-6x+2=0$$$$\Rightarrow (x+1)(8x^2-8x+2)=0$$$$\Rightarrow x+1=0\mathrm{or}8x^2-8x+2=0$$$$\bullet x+1=0$$$$x=-1$$$$\bullet 2(4x^2-4x+1)=0$$$${(2x-1)}^2=0$$$$x=\frac{1}{2}$$
