Mean x^_  = (1/8)(8+5+2+6+7+10+6+4)  x^_  = ((48)/8) = 6  Average deviation of data :  (1/8)(2+1+4+0+1+4+0+2) = ((14)/8) = (7/4)

X^− =((8+5+2+6+7+10+6+4)/8)=6  Mean Deviation =(1/n)Σ_(r=1) ^n ∣X_r −X^− ∣  (Generally)  So Mean deviation  (1/8)(2+1+4+1+4+2)=(7/4)
