$$\{\begin{array}{l}x+y=8\\ 2x-3y=-5\end{array}$$$$$$$$\mathrm{the}\mathrm{number}8\mathrm{is}\mathrm{wrong}?$$$$\mathrm{i}\mathrm{solved}\mathrm{it}\mathrm{many}\mathrm{times}\mathrm{x}=5\mathrm{y}=5$$$$\mathrm{another}\mathrm{answers}\mathrm{x}=\frac{7}{5}\mathrm{y}=\frac{13}{5}$$$$\mathrm{please}\mathrm{help}$$

$$$$$$\mathrm{x}+\mathrm{y}=8---\left(1\right)$$$$2\mathrm{x}-3\mathrm{y}=-5---\left(2\right)$$$$\left(1\right)\times 2:2\mathrm{x}+2\mathrm{y}=16---\left(3\right)$$$$\left(2\right)\times 1:2\mathrm{x}-3\mathrm{y}=-5---\left(4\right)$$$$\left(3\right)-\left(4\right):5\mathrm{y}=21\Rightarrow \mathrm{y}=\frac{21}{5}$$$$\mathrm{Sub}\mathrm{in}\left(1\right)$$$$\mathrm{x}+\frac{21}{5}=8$$$$\mathrm{x}=8-\frac{21}{5}$$$$\mathrm{x}=\frac{40-21}{5}$$$$\mathrm{x}=\frac{19}{5}$$$$(\mathrm{x},\mathrm{y})=(\frac{19}{5},\frac{21}{5})$$
