in gambling game a man is paid $5  if he gets all heads or all tails when  3 coins are tossed and he pays out  $3 if either 1 or 2 heads appears.  calculate his expected gain

    P($3) = (6/8) = (3/4)   P($5)= (2/8) = (1/4)   (1/3) P ($3) = P ($5)   he gains $5 he loses $9   expected gain $−4
