$$letAB=1$$$$BD=\frac{AB}{\tan 40°}=\frac{1}{\tan 40°}$$$$BC=\frac{BD}{\tan 20°}=\frac{1}{\tan 20°\tan 40°}$$$$BE=BC\times \tan 10°=\frac{\tan 10°}{\tan 20°\tan 40°}$$$$\tan x=\frac{BE}{AB}=\frac{\tan 10°}{\tan 20°\tan 40°}=\tan 30°$$$$\Rightarrow x=30°$$
