$$12=2^2\times 3$$$$numberoffactors=(2+1)(1+1)=6$$$$factors:1,2,3,4,6,12$$$$sum=1+2+3+4+6+12=28$$$$orusingformula$$$$sum=\frac{2^{2+1}-1}{2-1}\times \frac{3^{1+1}-1}{3-1}=7\times 4=28$$
