 let the point A(x,y) and distance = (√(x^2 +y^2 ))   x^2 +y^2  = 100 ⇒9x^2 +9y^2 =900   the line 3x = 4y−12 or 9x^2 =(4y−12)^2   we find 900−9y^2 =16y^2 −96y+144   ⇒25y^2 −96y−756=0  ⇒ y = ((96 ± (√(96^2 +75600)))/(50)) = ((96±291.23)/(50))
