do you have the correct answer?  i got shaded area=((area of square)/(24)).

tan α=(1/2)  tan 2α=((2×(1/2))/(1−((1/2))^2 ))=(4/3)  β=π−2×2α=π−4α  sin β=sin 4α=((2×(4/3))/(1+((4/3))^2 ))=((24)/(25))  shaded area=((a/4)×sin 2α)^2 ×(1/(sin β))  =(a^2 /(16))×((4/5))^2 ×((25)/(24))=(a^2 /(24))
