$$\mathrm{Net}\mathrm{distance}\mathrm{in}\mathrm{north}-\mathrm{south}$$$$\mathrm{direction}20-15=5\mathrm{m}$$$$\mathrm{To}\mathrm{east}12\mathrm{m}$$$$\mathrm{If}\mathrm{D}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{displacement}$$$$\mathrm{D}=\sqrt{{12}^2+5^2}=\sqrt{169}=13\mathrm{m}$$
