$$\log {}_2(\mathrm{x}+3)-\log {}_2\left(\mathrm{x}\right)=\log {}_2\left(8\right)$$$$\iff \frac{\mathrm{x}+3}{\mathrm{x}}=8,3=7\mathrm{x},\mathrm{x}=\frac{3}{7}$$
