you should tell what you are talking  about.  i guess you are talking about the  period of a torsion pendulum. then  I is not the moment of inertia of the  wire, which makes no sense here,  but the moment of inertia of the  suspended body.

please check again! for torsion  pendulum, i think it is  T=2π(√((2IL)/(ηπa^4 )))
