A gold ore is found to have a purity  of 70ppm. How much gold in grams  can be recovered from 5kg of the ore?

m_(pure gold)  = τm_(ore)  = 70.10^(−6) ×5.10^3  = 0,35g

$${m}_{{pure}\:{gold}} \:=\:\tau{m}_{{ore}} \:=\:\mathrm{70}.\mathrm{10}^{−\mathrm{6}} ×\mathrm{5}.\mathrm{10}^{\mathrm{3}} \:=\:\mathrm{0},\mathrm{35}{g} \\ $$
