That′s exactly the confusion i had.  i tried using    τ =0.4× 2(6 cos 30°)

$$\mathrm{That}'\mathrm{s}\:\mathrm{exactly}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{confusion}\:\mathrm{i}\:\mathrm{had}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{i}\:\mathrm{tried}\:\mathrm{using}\: \\ $$$$\:\tau\:=\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{4}×\:\mathrm{2}\left(\mathrm{6}\:\mathrm{cos}\:\mathrm{30}°\right) \\ $$

τ=6×0.4×sin 30°=1.2 Nm

$$\tau=\mathrm{6}×\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{4}×\mathrm{sin}\:\mathrm{30}°=\mathrm{1}.\mathrm{2}\:{Nm} \\ $$
