(i) T_1 is a rotation about the w plane through 180°. T_2 is an enlargment scale factor 3 and a translation of (−1,2). (ii) for an arbitiary complex number z, f(z) = z if it is invariant then, z = 3z −1 + 2i ⇒ −2z = −1+2i hence invariate complex number is z = (1/2)−i (iii) let A(a) have image A^ (a^ ) and B(b) have image B^ (b^ ) then, a^ = 2a−1+2i.........(i) and b^ = 2b−1+2i............(ii) (ii)−(i) ⇒ b^ −a^ = 2(b−a) ⇒ ∣b^ −a^ ∣ = 2∣b−a∣ hence ∣B^ A^ ∣ =2∣BA∣ and so T_2 is a similarity transformation or a simultitude with radius 2.
