Consider the recurrence relation a_k  = a_(k−1)   Find the general function for the sequence {a_k }

$$\mathrm{Consider}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{recurrence}\:\mathrm{relation}\:{a}_{{k}} \:=\:{a}_{{k}−\mathrm{1}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{Find}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{general}\:\mathrm{function}\:\mathrm{for}\:\mathrm{the}\:\mathrm{sequence}\:\left\{{a}_{{k}} \right\} \\ $$

it seems to be a_k =4a_(k−1)

$${it}\:{seems}\:{to}\:{be}\:{a}_{{k}} =\mathrm{4}{a}_{{k}−\mathrm{1}} \\ $$

a_k =a_1 ×4^(k−1)

$${a}_{{k}} ={a}_{\mathrm{1}} ×\mathrm{4}^{{k}−\mathrm{1}} \\ $$
