$$a^2={36}^7+9^b+6^8$$$$a^2=2^{14}{3}^{14}+3^{2b}+2^8{3}^8$$$$a^2={(3^b+2^7{3}^7)}^2-2\times 2^7{3}^7{3}^b+2^8{3}^8$$$$a^2={(3^b+2^7{3}^7)}^2-2^8(3^{b+7}-3^8)$$$$\mathrm{If}b=1,a^2=(3^1+2^7{3}^7)={\left(279939\right)}^2$$$$b=1,a=\pm 279939$$
