 Hatched area = (1/2)(8)^2 ((1/2)(√3))−(1/2)π(4)^2   =16(√3)−8π

$$\:{Hatched}\:{area}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}\left(\mathrm{8}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} \left(\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}\sqrt{\mathrm{3}}\right)−\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}\pi\left(\mathrm{4}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$=\mathrm{16}\sqrt{\mathrm{3}}−\mathrm{8}\pi \\ $$
