First method. (u/2) → u → 3.14u (1) 3 → 6 → 3.14u = ? u = 6 ⇒ 3.14(6) = 18.84 (2) (u/2) → 10 → 50.24 u = 10 ⇒ (u/2) = ((10)/2) = 5 Answer: x = 18.84, y = 5 Second method. k → 2k → 3.14×2k 3.14×2 = 6.28 ⇒ k → 2k → 6.28k (1) 3 → 6 → 6.28k k = 3 ⇒ 6.28k = 6.28×3 = 18.84 (2) k → 10 → 50.24 2k = 10 ⇒ k = ((10)/2) = 5 Answer: x = 18.84, y = 5

but in the last line (u/2) → u → 3.14u doesn′t work because 3.14×5≠50.24
