u=x^4   du=4x^3 dx  dx=(du/(4x^3 ))  ∫(x^3 /(1+u^2 )).(du/(4x^3 ))  (1/4)∫(du/(1+u^2 ))

(1/4)∫(du/(1+u^2 ))=((tan^(−1) u)/4)+C

$$\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{4}}\int\frac{\mathrm{du}}{\mathrm{1}+\mathrm{u}^{\mathrm{2}} }=\frac{\mathrm{tan}^{−\mathrm{1}} {u}}{\mathrm{4}}+{C} \\ $$
