(i) if there are 12 face cards the possibility to  draw one is ((12)/(52))=(3/(13))  (ii) 1−(1/4)=(3/4)

what does it mean odds in favour of  getting a face card?

a deck of cards has 4 colours  each colour has 13 cards, usually  1 (=ace) 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 knight queen king  (or similar), where knight queen king are  the faces. ⇒ 3 faces per colour ⇒ 12 faces

odds in favour of X = chances for X = possibility of X

then I′m sorry. I′m no native English speaker  and obviously “odds” means something else  here than I thought.
