all answers given are wrong! mgh=((kh^2 )/2) ⇒h=((2mg)/k)=((2×12×10)/(850))=((24)/(85))=0.282m

$${all}\:{answers}\:{given}\:{are}\:{wrong}! \\ $$$${mgh}=\frac{{kh}^{\mathrm{2}} }{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{h}=\frac{\mathrm{2}{mg}}{{k}}=\frac{\mathrm{2}×\mathrm{12}×\mathrm{10}}{\mathrm{850}}=\frac{\mathrm{24}}{\mathrm{85}}=\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{282}{m} \\ $$
