$$4^x+4^x=4^8...............\left(i\right)$$$$x+y=20.................\left(ii\right)$$$$y+y=?$$$$\left(i\right)\Rightarrow 2.4^x=4^8$$$$2^{2x+1}=2^{16}$$$$2x+1=16$$$$x=15/2$$$$\left(ii\right)\Rightarrow y=20-x=20-\frac{15}{2}=\frac{25}{2}$$$$y+y=2y=2\left(\frac{25}{2}\right)=25$$
