Mr. Jibril is four times as old as his son.  Four years ago, he was seven times as old  as his son. In how many years will Mr  Jibril′s age be twice his son′s age?

J= 4S ... i  J−4= 7 (S−4) ...ii  i, ii : S: 8, J: 32     J+ y= 2 (S+y)   y= 16 years ; S: 24, J: 48

$${J}=\:\mathrm{4}{S}\:...\:{i} \\ $$$${J}−\mathrm{4}=\:\mathrm{7}\:\left({S}−\mathrm{4}\right)\:...{ii} \\ $$$${i},\:{ii}\::\:{S}:\:\mathrm{8},\:{J}:\:\mathrm{32} \\ $$$$ \\ $$$$\:{J}+\:{y}=\:\mathrm{2}\:\left({S}+{y}\right) \\ $$$$\:{y}=\:\mathrm{16}\:{years}\:;\:{S}:\:\mathrm{24},\:{J}:\:\mathrm{48} \\ $$$$ \\ $$
