x: total number of employees  (5/8) of x =240  (5/8)×x=240  x=240^(48) ×(8/5)=384

$${x}:\:{total}\:{number}\:{of}\:{employees} \\ $$$$\frac{\mathrm{5}}{\mathrm{8}}\:\mathrm{of}\:{x}\:=\mathrm{240} \\ $$$$\frac{\mathrm{5}}{\mathrm{8}}×{x}=\mathrm{240} \\ $$$${x}=\cancel{\overset{\mathrm{48}} {\mathrm{240}}}×\frac{\mathrm{8}}{\cancel{\mathrm{5}}}=\mathrm{384} \\ $$

((5/8×100⇒62.5%     ratio    porcentaje)/)  62.5%→240  (women)  100%→total  total=  ((100×240)/(62.5))=384

$$\frac{\mathrm{5}/\mathrm{8}×\mathrm{100}\Rightarrow\mathrm{62}.\mathrm{5\%}\:\:\:\:\:{ratio}\:\:\:\:{porcentaje}}{} \\ $$$$\mathrm{62}.\mathrm{5\%}\rightarrow\mathrm{240}\:\:\left({women}\right) \\ $$$$\mathrm{100\%}\rightarrow{total} \\ $$$${total}=\:\:\frac{\mathrm{100}×\mathrm{240}}{\mathrm{62}.\mathrm{5}}=\mathrm{384} \\ $$$$ \\ $$
