$$\mathrm{The}\mathrm{second}\mathrm{overtone}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{a}\mathrm{fixed}\mathrm{viberating}\mathrm{string}\mathrm{fixed}\mathrm{at}\mathrm{both}\mathrm{end}\mathrm{is}200\mathrm{cm}.$$$$\mathrm{Find}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{length}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{string}.$$

$$\mathrm{L}=\mathrm{n}\frac{\lambda }{2}$$$$\mathrm{for}\mathrm{second}\mathrm{overtone}\mathrm{n}=3$$$$\mathrm{what}\mathrm{you}\mathrm{mean}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{wavelength}\mathrm{for}$$$$\mathrm{n}=3\mathrm{is}200\mathrm{cm}.$$$$\mathrm{So}\mathrm{L}=\frac{3}{2}\left(200\mathrm{cm}\right)=300\mathrm{cm}.$$
