$$\frac{a}{b}=\frac{s+t}{s}=1+\frac{t}{s}=1+\frac{y}{x}$$$$\frac{b+c}{a}=\frac{x+y}{x}=1+\frac{y}{x}=\frac{a}{b}$$$$\Rightarrow a^2=b(b+c)$$$$\Rightarrow a^2-b^2=bc✓$$
