RHS = 1 so LHS should be 1. It can be when exponent is 0.

$$\mathrm{RHS}\:=\:\mathrm{1}\:\mathrm{so}\:\mathrm{LHS}\:\mathrm{should}\:\mathrm{be}\:\mathrm{1}.\:\mathrm{It}\:\mathrm{can}\:\mathrm{be} \\ $$$$\mathrm{when}\:\mathrm{exponent}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{0}. \\ $$
