x+(√(x^2 +1))=1+x+(√(x^2 −1)) (√(x^2 +1))=1+(√(x^2 −1)) x^2 +1=1+x^2 −1+2(√(x^2 −1)) (√(x^2 −1))=(1/2) x^2 −1=(1/4) x=±((√5)/2) ✓

x+x2+1=1+x+x21x2+1=1+x21x2+1=1+x21+2x21x21=12x21=14x=±52
