  A ball is thrown vertically upwards with a velocity of 10m/s from a point 75 m above the ground. Calculate the velocity with which it hits the ground.

v_2 ^2 =v_1 ^2 +2gh=10^2 +2×10×75=1600  ⇒v_2 =40 m/s

v22=v12+2gh=102+2×10×75=1600v2=40m/s
