$$3(x+\frac{1}{x})=2$$$$x+\frac{1}{x}=\frac{2}{3}$$$${(x+\frac{1}{x})}^3={\left(\frac{2}{3}\right)}^3$$$$x^3+\frac{1}{x^3}+3(x+\frac{1}{x})=\frac{8}{27}$$$$x^3+\frac{1}{x^3}+3\left(\frac{2}{3}\right)=\frac{8}{27}$$$$x^3+\frac{1}{x^3}+2=\frac{8}{27}$$
