let presently AB=2  let area of △ABC=4Δ  area of △AXZ = Δ  Area of △XYZ=(tan^2 θ)Δ     (because △XYZ ∼ △AXZ)  Area BXYC= Area CWXZ+            Area △BXW−Area(△AXZ)                         =2Δ+Δ−(tan^2 θ)Δ  ((Area BXYC)/(Area △ABC))=((3Δ−(tan^2 θ)Δ)/(4Δ))=((13)/(18))  ⇒   3−tan^2 θ=((26)/9)     So    tan^2 θ=(1/9)  Now     tan θ=(1/3)=((BC)/(AC))   ⇒   AC=3(BC) =3×12 =36 .
