$$\log (\mathrm{x}-3)+\log (\mathrm{x}-2)=\log ({\mathrm{x}}^2-4\mathrm{x}-21)$$$$\log \left\{(\mathrm{x}-3)(\mathrm{x}-2)\right\}=\log ({\mathrm{x}}^2-4\mathrm{x}-21)$$$${\mathrm{x}}^2-5\mathrm{x}+6={\mathrm{x}}^2-4\mathrm{x}-21$$$$5\mathrm{x}-4\mathrm{x}=6+21$$$$\mathrm{x}=27$$
