“+” generally is used to sum cardinality of sets. Are you referring to that?

A+B = (A∪B)−(A∩B)    or A+B = (A−B) ∪ (B−A)

A+B=(AB)(AB)orA+B=(AB)(BA)

Then D=(A∩C)+(A∩B)={a,c}  D + (B∩C)=(A∩C)+(A∩B)+(B∩C)={a,b,c,d}

ThenD=(AC)+(AB)={a,c}D+(BC)=(AC)+(AB)+(BC)={a,b,c,d}
