$$12causefirstline\frac{72}{6}=12\times 2=24$$$$\frac{96}{12}=8\times 2=16$$$$\frac{108}{18}=6\times 2=12$$

$$72=\frac{24}{2}\times 6$$$$96=\frac{16}{2}\times 12$$$$108=\frac{x}{2}\times 18\Rightarrow 108=9x\Rightarrow x=12$$
