There are 4 possible cases. x−3+x+2=9 −(x−3)+x+2=9 x−3−(x+2)=9 −(x−3)−(x+2)=9 2x=10, x≥3,x≥−2 ∅ ∅ −2x=8,x<3,x<−2 x=5 x=−4
