(d/dx)sin^4 x  =(d/(d(sin x)))sin^4 x∙((dsin x)/dx)  =4sin^3 xcos x

$$\frac{{d}}{{dx}}\mathrm{sin}^{\mathrm{4}} {x} \\ $$$$=\frac{{d}}{{d}\left(\mathrm{sin}\:{x}\right)}\mathrm{sin}^{\mathrm{4}} {x}\centerdot\frac{{d}\mathrm{sin}\:{x}}{{dx}} \\ $$$$=\mathrm{4sin}^{\mathrm{3}} {x}\mathrm{cos}\:{x} \\ $$

(dy/dx) = 4 cosx sin^3 x

$$\frac{{dy}}{{dx}}\:=\:\mathrm{4}\:{cosx}\:{sin}^{\mathrm{3}} {x} \\ $$
