A rectangular hall 12m long and 10m  broad, is surrounded by a path 2m  wide. Find the area of the path.

area of rectangular hall=l×b                                                       =12×10                           =120 m^2   area of new rectangular 2 m wide   than rectangular hall=16×14  =224m^2   area of path=224−120=104m^2
