There are 11 letters:  2 times each O,I,N  1 time each C,M,A,B,T  Number of permutations  =coefficient of x^3  in 3!(1+(x/(1!))+(x^2 /(2!)))^3 (1+x)^5

thank you for the work.  Can you please explain the formula for me?  In case I get similar question  how can i apply the formula?    How can I use the formula to solve the problem blow?  How many arrangements are there in the  word COMMUNICATION taken  4 letters at a time.  Thank you.
