$$\mathrm{y}=(2x+3)+\frac{7}{(x+3)}.$$$$\mathrm{this}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{hint}\mathrm{given}!$$

$$\mathrm{i}\mathrm{want}\mathrm{to}\mathrm{know}\mathrm{how}\mathrm{does}\mathrm{this}\mathrm{form}\mathrm{comes}$$$$\mathrm{to}\mathrm{our}\mathrm{mind}?\mathrm{after}\mathrm{seeing}\mathrm{q}.$$$$\mathrm{any}\mathrm{other}\mathrm{method}??$$

$$\mathrm{we}\mathrm{have}\mathrm{to}\mathrm{check}\mathrm{for}\mathrm{pairs}\mathrm{of}$$$$\mathrm{integers},\mathrm{so}\mathrm{in}\mathrm{this}\mathrm{case}\mathrm{where}$$$$\mathrm{the}\mathrm{given}\mathrm{equation}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{linear}\mathrm{for}$$$$y\mathrm{but}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{degree}2\mathrm{for}x,{\mathrm{it}}^{\prime }\mathrm{s}\mathrm{easier}$$$$\mathrm{to}\mathrm{solve}\mathrm{for}y\mathrm{instead}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{trying}$$$$\mathrm{pairs}\mathrm{for}x\mathrm{and}y.$$$$\mathrm{with}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{given}\mathrm{hint}\mathrm{we}\mathrm{see}\mathrm{that}$$$$y\mathrm{is}\mathrm{integer}\mathrm{only}\mathrm{if}\frac{7}{x+3}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{integer}.$$$$x=-10\vee x=-4\vee x=-2\vee x=4$$$$(x,y)=(-10,-18)\vee (-4,-12)\vee (-2,6)\vee (4,12)$$
