If a rigid object has only rotational motion about a fixed axis are there any points within the object that always have the same velocity as the centre of mass? If so which ones?

Commented by mrW2 last updated on 11/Mar/18

all points which have the same distance to the rotation axis as the center of mass.

Can the points also be on the axis of rotation?

Commented by mrW2 last updated on 11/Mar/18

if the rotation axis goes through the centre of mass, then all points on this axis have the same velocity as the com: zero.
