(1) I = ∫_(−1) ^0 x^2 + x + 1 dx = [(1/3)x^3 + (1/2)x^2 + x]_(−1) ^0 = (0) − (−(1/3) + (1/2) − 1) = ... (2) I = ∫_1 ^5 x − 1 + (1/x^2 ) dx = [(1/2)x^2 − x − (1/x)]_1 ^5 = (((25)/2) − 5 − (1/5)) − ((1/2) − 1 − 1) = ...
