	$we want to be able to quickly$ $distinguish and therefore we$ $use many different sets of letters$ $example : triangle$ $vertices are A, B, C$ $sides are a, b, c$ $angles are α, β, γ$ ${it}^{'} s easy to read, write and$ $understand things like :$ $c =∣ A B ∣$ $S = \frac{A + B + C}{3}$ $\frac{\sin α}{a} = \frac{\sin β}{b}$ $c^{2} = a^{2} + b^{2} - 2 a b \cos γ$
