please help    why is it not advisable to use a  small angle of incidence when  performing experiment on refraction  in a rectangular prism????

lest it does not undergo total  internal reflection..

yes you are right...  let say mathematically  ((lim)/(i→(i_θ )_c ))  then refraction→Total internal  reflection  (i_θ )_c =critical angle  when  i→(i_θ )_c    then refraction→Total internal  reflection  the very pupose to check the refraction   property of light can not be experimented  as most of light energy gets reflected in   second medium minimum energy perform  refraction.
