Three triangles are colined or lined  on a line with equation   y = 3x + 1 as shown above.  the height of the triangles are  5cm. Calculate the value of x..  assuming the sum of a line is   180.

what do you mean with “the sum of  a line is 180”? which line is meant?

sorry, I still can not follow you.  Can you put it more clearly, for  example show it directly in the figure?
