$$assumef\left(x\right)=ax+b$$$$f\left(6\right)-f\left(12\right)=6a+b-(12a+b)=-6a=2$$$$\Rightarrow a=-\frac{1}{3}$$$$f\left(12\right)-f\left(2\right)=12a+b-(2a+b)=10a=-\frac{10}{3}$$
