$$K=3x,A=4x,Y=5x$$$$4x=3x+\mathrm{\$}8400$$$$\Rightarrow x=\mathrm{\$}8400$$$$T=K+A+Y=12x$$$$T=12\times \mathrm{\$}8400=\mathrm{\$}100,800.$$

$$3+4+5=12$$$$if\mathrm{\$}12weretobeshared,thenKgets$$$$\mathrm{\$}3,Agets\mathrm{\$}4andYgets\mathrm{\$}5.I.e.Agets$$$$\mathrm{\$}1morethanK.SothatAgets\mathrm{\$}8400$$$$thanK,thetotalmoneytobeshared$$$$mustbe12\times 8400=\mathrm{\$}100800.$$
