(1/4) + (2/3) = ((11)/(12))  So, she spent ((11)/(12)) × 602.00  = 551.83  600.00  − 551.83  = 50.17 dollars

$$\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{4}}\:+\:\frac{\mathrm{2}}{\mathrm{3}}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{11}}{\mathrm{12}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{So},\:\mathrm{she}\:\mathrm{spent}\:\frac{\mathrm{11}}{\mathrm{12}}\:×\:\mathrm{602}.\mathrm{00}\:\:=\:\mathrm{551}.\mathrm{83} \\ $$$$\mathrm{600}.\mathrm{00}\:\:−\:\mathrm{551}.\mathrm{83}\:\:=\:\mathrm{50}.\mathrm{17}\:\mathrm{dollars} \\ $$
