I don′t know what to do for the last sentence. What equation satisfies 2x_1 +x_2 ?

x_2 −x_1 =(√(4t^2 −2t+1))

$${x}_{\mathrm{2}} −{x}_{\mathrm{1}} =\sqrt{\mathrm{4}{t}^{\mathrm{2}} −\mathrm{2}{t}+\mathrm{1}} \\ $$

I believe that they want expressions in t for each of x_1 and x_2 .
